Falling from heights in the workplace According to the Health and Safety Executive 45 people died and 3750 people were injured following a fall from height in 2007. Sometimes working at a height is unavoidable, especially in the construction industry or even working as a steeplejack so it is imperative when working at heights that appropriate safety equipment is used and the correct procedures for performing work at height are in place. This means that all work is properly planned and organised to ensure worker safety, that all work is supervised, that all workers are competent in completing the tasks and properly trained and that all equipment which will be in use is properly maintained. Even after all this, should an incident occur and workers are injured, employers should have procedures in place to deal with any emergencies.Complete our online enquiry form advising the nature of your claim
