Personal Injury News: Accident group case adjourned
High Court action, against officers of the collapsed personal injury company The Accident Group, has been postponed due to the death of the former boss.

Mark Langford, who died in April following a car accident in Spain, was the former founder of the business. Mr Langford, his wife and the finance director, Michael Watson were facing a disqualification case this week as efforts by the Department for Trade and Industry made moves to have them removed from directorial positions.

Counsel for the official receiver and Mr Watson opposed an application for an adjournment by Mrs Langford and although the judge, Mr Justice Patten, was reluctant to agree to the application, he believed he had no alternative but to delay the hearing for a further five months under the circumstances but added "The Langford’s behaviour throughout these proceedings has been tardy, and there has been a history of delays. I will not be minded to consider any further adjournment."

The case against Ms Langford and Watson continues.
