| Personal Injury News: Contaminated blood being investigated |
| Patients suffering with the blood disorder haemophilia, who were given contaminated blood, have had a boost to their inquiry. It was believed that files, vital to the case, had been destroyed but copies of the documents were saved by solicitors and Health Minister, Caroline Flint, has made these files available for official review. These files will provide information detailing how haemophiliacs contracted HIV and hepatitis C from infected blood products which were sold by American prisoners and used here, despite fears regarding the possibility of contamination. Lord Morris, president of the Haemophilia Society, who encouraged the independent review, has welcomed the news by saying “All previous inquiries have been held behind closed doors at the Department of Health” Over 1,700 patients have died due to the contamination and hundreds more have been left terminally ill in ‘one of the biggest medical disasters of recent times.’ Source: easilyclaim.co.uk ![]() More News:- Cosmetic Surgery on the Increaseomen have been indulging in cosmetic surgery for decades however an audit carried out by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons details....
