| Personal Injury News: Precautions required when removing asbestos, warns HSE |
| The Health and Safety Executive has reiterated its warning to all companies to ensure correct precautions are taken when dealing with asbestos after a company was fined. Following a routine inspection of business premises by the HSE, they found a number of employees, of Bloom Environmental Limited, who were not taking the correct precautions when removing asbestos from a building being prepared for demolition. The HSE issued a prohibition notice ceasing the work. Tony Woodward, the prosecuting HSE Inspector, said, “Breathing in asbestos fibres can lead to asbestos-related disease, which kills over 3,500 people a year – more than any other single work-related illness. The disease can take many more years to develop and individuals will not be immediately aware of a change in someone’s health after inhalation of asbestos. Employers involved in this field of work have a responsibility for the safety of their employees, and we are working with the industry to ensure high standards to protect health are achieved.” Source: easilyclaim.co.uk ![]() More News:- Cosmetic Surgery on the Increaseomen have been indulging in cosmetic surgery for decades however an audit carried out by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons details....
