Vibration White Finger Hand-arm vibration comes from prolonged use of power tools such as concrete breakers, sanders, hammer drills and chainsaws and when the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005, (the Vibration Regulations), came into force on 6 July 2005, its aim was to protect workers from risks to health from vibration. A basic guide for the employer states they will probably need to do something if employees are regularly exposed to hammer action tools for more than 15 minutes a day. If you are one of those exposed employees and have been diagnosed with Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome then you should contact our claims department and make enquiries with regard to your right to claim compensation. And remember, your right to claim begins the day you are diagnosed with the condition, irrespective of when you were employed. Complete our online enquiry form advising the nature of your claim
